H2Origen wins the everis Award Colombia CCB 2019
H2Origen, a project that turns wastewater into potable water, wins the Award out of 250 competing projects
H2Origen, a project based on physical processes that turn wastewater into potable water and achieve the highest level of purity for human consumption, is the winner of the everis Award – Colombia Bogotá Chamber of Commerce 2019.
For H2Origen, waste is the ‘origin’: their process transforms black, grey and dangerous water to water with a different degree of purity, either to be discharged or reused. Their technology unites in a single system four natural processes, without the use of chemicals to regenerate the water.
The benefits of H2Origen within the circular economy are extended to all water users, and help to lower costs and financially optimize the water footprint, turning wastewater into a productive asset, in addition to complying with environmental regulations.
‘The fact that H2Origen wins the everis Award Colombia is a major step so that the impact we generate is not only local or regional in the industrial sector, but globalized in access and use’, says Ernesto Melo, CEO of H2Origen.
The everis Awards Colombia CCB have reached four editions in which 750 entrepreneurs from different regions of the country have participated. On this occasion, H2Origen will travel to Madrid, Spain, to participate in the everis Award at global level on 28 November. The winner of this international call will receive €60,000 and consultancy services valued at €10,000.
