Most awards given out in the various fields of business and academia are intended above all to acknowledge achievements and individuals which have made a clear and proven contribution to society. There are few awards which recognize the essential merit of the potential of an idea or project, and which are based on a philosophy of stimulating that idea in order to allow it to become a new enterprise generating value for society.

Spanish society in particular needs to promote entrepreneurial talents which will generate wealth and employment by establishing new sustainable and competitive enterprises, based on innovative ideas and concepts. The everis Foundation feels in this regard that it is of particular importance to encourage an entrepreneurial spirit, and for this reason decided to set up an award which would provide funding for an entrepreneurial project bearing the clear hallmarks of feasibility, innovation and a social contribution.

The everis Foundation also wishes to work in close cooperation with the individuals behind the idea in question, beyond its financial contribution, providing such entrepreneurs with the organisation's knowledge and experience by playing a follow-up role in the initial phases of the new project's development.
